Pizolada
Alpin Ski competition
The Pizolada delle Dolomiti is an Alpine ski competition dating back to 1973, which traditionally takes place along the San Pellegrino Pass on the first Sunday of April.
The “historical” route begins at the Flora Alpina mountain refuge in the region of Valfredda, proceeds to Fuciade and then on to Forcella Laghet (2,765 m), passing through Val di Tasca. From here, it dips down towards the San Pellegrino Pass ready for the ascent to Col Margherita. From its peak, competitors descend to Lake Laste Pradazzo and then ascent once more to Forcella Vallazza. The final descent is towards the valley station of the Col Margherita cable car where competitors arrive at the finish line. The competition is organised by the Fassa Events Committee.
